8 Minutes

8 MINUTES is a science fiction woodcut novel created by David Fabrega (original idea, story) and Borja Moreno (drawing, engraving, printing).

The woodcut novel is a genre that emerged in the 1920s. Illustrated entirely with images created through the woodcut process, this precursor to the graphic novel tells a story without words. Spreading across Europe and the United States during the interwar period, the genre—driven by socialist ideals—was shaped by German Expressionism and the visual grammar of silent cinema.
